Trading Time For Money

By Les Popham

Hello everybody! Time for another blog post!

This week’s topic is:

Most of us either do it or have done it in the past.

But why would you do that? If you had the choice, I mean.

Fact is, you do have the choice, and you have always had that choice.

You probably never realised you had that choice. Even if you did, you didn’t take it because you were in a nice job with a regular paycheck at the end of each month.

It’s often said that “People hate to be sold to, but they love to buy.”

Think about that for a minute. Would you agree?

Everybody out there has a list of things they either want or need. You don’t need to sell to them – “our company makes these wonderful widgets that you have to see to believe“ – you need to show them the things THEY are looking for, and show them how THEY can benefit, and they’ll come flocking, money in hand.

Another related truism is “It’s not about you, it’s about them.”

People are selfish, in general. They want to know what’s in it for them.

And if you tell them how THEY are going to benefit, they will buy.

So stop trading your time for money!

See you all again next week!
