A totally original Christmas gift

Hello again, and welcome to this week’s blog post.

Somewhat predictably perhaps, it’s about Christmas. To be a little more specific, it’s about choosing gifts for your family and friends.

We have all been affected to some degree by all the (pretty silly and pointless, in my view) restrictions that have been imposed on us.

If you – or people close to you – have been laid off, furloughed, or obliged to work from home, this could be the perfect time to look at the alternatives.

Look back to your life as it was before the lockdowns. I know it’s getting close to twelve months ago now, but tell me in a nutshell what it was like.

Up at 6, shower, shave, get dressed in your office kit, drive or bus to the station, spend an hour or more on the train to arrive at work for 8:30, work until 5 or 5:30, then get back on the train to go home.

Sound familiar?

How much time did that leave to spend with your family? Not a lot, I’m thinking.

Here’s where the Christmas present idea kicks in. What could be better than giving yourself or those close to you the tools to start a home business?

From the basics of building a website, through setting up your own online shop, to leveraging Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest, (and LinkedIn!) to generate a passive income, we have it all.

For example, you can learn how to become a social media manager for your local companies. They all know they need a SM presence, but they don’t have the time or people to do the necessary. They’d be happy to pay you to take the problem off their hands.

You need an alternative source of income. I can show you how achieve it.

This Christmas, give yourself (or someone you know that is suffering), the gift of an independent business. Something they will always be grateful for, long after the scarf, slippers, the booze and the bath salts have been used up.

Message me if you’d like to know more.

[Apologies once more this week. I still haven’t figured out how to get images to copy into my posts. I’ll keep trying.]

See you all again next week, people, and have a great weekend!
